This General mixte is a medium-to-large size frame, with a lower top tube for easier starting and stopping. In addition to throughly cleaning and inspecting the frame, we replaced the drivetrain with newer Shimano 2x7 components, trued the wheels, and outfitted the bike with some comfy, low-rise handlebars. It'll feel surprisingly zippy on smooth, flat routes, while still having adequate low gearing for steeper sections. It can also take fenders, to keep your feet dry.
